COMMAND AREA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, NASHIK
       The command Area Development Authority (CADA) is headed by one  Administrator of the rank of Superintending Engineer from Water Resources (Irrigation) Department.  The Command Area Development Authority are entrusted with the following functions.
1) Maintenance and efficient operation and modernisation where necessary of irrigation system in the Command Area.     2) Development and maintenance of the main and subsidiary drainage system in the command Area.                                 3) Conducting soil survey from time to time and modifying most suitable cropping pattern in the command Area.                4) Ensuring efficient maintenance of the fixed channels and field drains within the command area. 5) Prescrubing and   enforcing an appropriate system of distribution and regulation of water supply through the command Area.                        6) Implemention of policies of the Government in respect of the intensive development of the command.

Duties of Superintending Engineer & Administrator.

1) The Superintending Engineer and Administrator is the Chief Administrative Head of Circle and is responsible to the Chief Engineer for his work. 2) It is the duty of the Superintending Engineer and Administrator to inspect the state of the various works within his circle and satisfy himself that the system of management prevailing is efficient and economical. 3) The Superintending Engineer and Administrator is required to ascertain the efficiency of the subordinate offices and out door establishment. 4) The supervision and control of the assessment of revenue for irrigation work within circle.

Duties of Executive Engineer

1) The Executive Engineer is responsible to the   Superintending Engineer for the execution and management of all works whithin his division. 2) He is responsible that proper measure are taken to preserve all the works in his division and to prevent encroachment on Government land in his charge. 3) The Executive Engineer will be required to inspectt at least once a year all M.I.Tanks within his control and to report to Superintending Engineer. 4) He should carry out inspection of the Sub Divisional Offices under his control once every year.
The irrigation and maintenance of  7 Major, 8 Medium and  148 Minor irrigation projects of Godavari and Tapi basins in Nashik and Ahmednagar Dist. are done by this circle. There are 5 Divisions under the control of this circle for the maintenance of above projects.
